After spending a few days in Kyoto, we were back to the hustle and bustle of Tokyo. We went to Harajuku to see the interesting people but found that going in the evening wasn’t the best idea. We found a really cool restaurant which is all about avo.
We spent some time at the Imperial Palace east gardens. We were in luck second time around because it was a beautiful sunny day. The first time we tried to go was on a Tuesday, and we didn’t know that the gardens would be closed.
The weather was great on the Saturday. I even managed to snooze for a bit on the grass, which was very peaceful. It doesn’t feel like you are in the city at all.
We met up with Nic and his colleague in the afternoon and walked around Shibuya, Takeshita street and Harajuku. The streets were very busy. There was a festival at Shibuya park and we got to see a pop band perform and had some street food. Then we found a trendy bar in Harajuku.
Shibuya park and awesome bar…
On our last afternoon we wandered around Shinjuku, which was also beautiful and spotless.
We found a really great restaurant in Roppongi…
We did some more runs around the Meguro neighbourhood and found some fantastic paths for running, lined with beautiful trees, gardens and very homely houses.
